Welcome to Tarion’s The Open Door Blog where we want to empower new home owners by sharing real experiences from other homeowners. It’s that simple. Whether you own a new home or condo, are considering buying one, or just love to dream about it, we want to share stories that can help you protect what is likely the biggest investment of your life.
Who are we? Well, Tarion administers and enforces the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act. If there is a new home or condo in Ontario, it is a good bet that it also comes with a Tarion-backed warranty. Our job is to work with homeowners and home builders to make sure that the new home warranty is clear and that it is applied consistently and fairly. In other words, our business is about building confidence in the building business. One of the best ways to build confidence is through open dialogue. So, come on in! The door is open and so is the conversation.
